One of the newer businesses in Morristown, Looking Glass Designs Salon and Boutique is ready to serve you at 9992 N 600 E Morristown, IN with proprietor Susie Meador. Here are a few facts about Susie and her business.
Looking Glass Designs
Looking Glass Designs is the name of the business Susie Meador runs in her home, which she just opened this year. She styles hair as well as multiple needlepoint projects such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embroidering. The shop got its name because Susie is a big fan of Victorian era antiques, and a Victorian mirror was termed a looking glass.
Susie also performs needlecraft. She has been sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embroidering for as long as she can remember. She embroidered her first pillowcase with a matching bedspread when she was eight or nine, and made her first formal dress when she was thirteen.
Susie’s favorite project so far has been her wedding. She made her wedding gown as well as the Bridesmaid dresses, Flower Girl Dress, and Mother of the Bride Dress.
History and Personal Info
Susie had formerly worked at a salon before taking up an office job so she could spend more time with her kids due to a more regular work schedule. Now that her children have graduated, she has started running a salon again. Her goal is to be able to retire from her office job so she can work at her salon full time.
Susie and her husband Andy moved from Fountaintown to where they live now. Before she was the owner of Looking Glass Designs, Susie was the leader of Girl Scout troop 161 and the Girl Scout community organizer for Morristown from 2005 to 2008. She also served as the President of the Morristown Band Boosters from 2006 to 2014.
